Google celebrated the 400 anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare with doodle on Saturday, which showed some of the bard's best known works.

In the UK, doodle is a reflection of both Shakespeare and St. George's Day - the day in memory of the patron Saint of England, famous for slaying a dragon.

The UK's doodle had the expansion of St. George and the mythical beast in the corner. A significant part of whatever is left of the world got the Shakespeare-just doodle.

In a blog entry examining the doodle, Google directed learners toward the Google Cultural Institute, which has gathered clasps and data on Shakespeare's work.
