Google's 'Designed For Families' Program Will Ensure Family-Friendly Apps

Google wants every parents can more easily understand which applications are family friendly. To ahead of this goal, the search giant Tuesday announced "Designed for Families", a new program that will help to understand parents which applications in the Google Play are safe for their children and family.

Google said, this program has been chosen to support application developers to "designate their apps and games as family-friendly". You will be pleased to know that Google Play already displays age rating. So, it can say, it is a quick way to sort out the applications.

To engage in the Designed for Families program, every application developers have to have sensible ability for giving exact age rating on their applications. A Google spokesperson said about the program, "Apps must meet a stringent legal and policy bar and pass a specialized operations review."

Every application developers must have to go through a review process. That means, every applications will receive a rating of "Everyone" or "Everyone 10+" from the Entertainment Software Rating Board. Developers should to obey the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act", the act protects children younger than 13, a Google spokesman said.
