Last year an informal statement of several employees of Google were that mobile search queries will break off the desktop search queries record. And Google has ensured the news by posting an article on their official AdWords blog. The search giant also has confirmed that it has happened in 10 countries including the US and Japan.

The company refused to give more details about what were the other countries, how recently this change happened or what the relative volumes of PC and the mobile search queries are now.

Google does not tell us that the consultations include mobile searches based on mobile browsers and those that come from mobile search applications of Google. The company does not break the relative proportions of each.

Google counts tablets with desktops. So this is only for mobile devices and does not count tablet's search queries.
